    Hello

I’m currently looking at purchasing an old Irving Kaye table and was wondering if you might have any information / guidance for me. This will be my first pool table and personally have no knowledge of this brand, it’s history, or its reputation.

I do know a little about the table in question. Apparently this exact table was in a bar just up the street from my home called JJ’s Tavern – opened in 1972. I’m unsure exactly when it closed (in the 80’s I believe) but when it did a long time customer bought the table from them, and it’s been taking up their dining room ever since. They are now looking to sell it and I happen to live nearby and am in the market.

I’d love to know what you can share with me about the model, age, etc of this table, as well as what I should know about the brands reputation for quality / etc going into buying a nearly 50 year old coin-op table. It all appears in decent condition currently, minor damage to the felt but nothing to concern yourself with, and the cabinet is in very good condition with only minor scratches and blemishes.

Do you have any feeling for what the value of a table like this would be? I’m attaching images below. The coin mech and all other components works perfectly (amazingly).IMG - 1IMG - 2IMG - 3IMG - 4IMG - 5IMG - 6IMG - 7
