98090DCF-0FF2-47F2-8217-F611A2268CEBI recently acquired this Irving Kaye Eldorado Mark IV. It’s in great working condition but the sides are scuffed up. Does anyone know how to restore the finish?

    Hello, Ann

Nowadays, this kind of thing is produced using a screen printing process. Back in the sixties, something like this was made simpler. The cord technique creates such an effect. There are two ways. Printing or spraying. Both require a lot of experience and you should go to a painter for this, or make enough attempts on other objects before you go to the billiards with it. I have photographed the two possibilities here, they are not perfect, but show how it works. A skilled painter masters this job.

As I said, only go to this work if you have done enough attempts before and you are sure that you will also master this work. But it’s better if you give the job to a painter. The table is too nice to be tarnished by a mistake. Good luck with your project.

    Regards, Valero
