    On my 4.5′ x 9′ oversize Continental Deluxe table, the slate was in 3 equal pieces.

    Correction: the tables were not Ambassadors – they were Deluxe Continentals. They did not have coin mechanisms, as the people were charged for play by the minute. The table’s felt matched the color of the sides. It had to be taken apart by a special tool with a hexagon end.
