ParticipantJan, the screws are under the diamonds. These are made of rubber and you can carefully pry them out with a pointed thorn or a small screwdriver. Often, however, they are already in a very bad condition because they have already been taken out several times because of the change of the cloth. Unfortunately, very few pay attention and damage them most of the time. Not infrequently they are completely missing. After removing the screws, it is possible to lift down the entire frame. At the corners, the wood is connected with metal wedges. That can break if you don’t pay attention. The wedges can be knocked out with a blunt thorn if you want to completely disassemble the frame.

ParticipantAs I said, only go to this work if you have done enough attempts before and you are sure that you will also master this work. But it’s better if you give the job to a painter. The table is too nice to be tarnished by a mistake. Good luck with your project.

ParticipantHello, Ann
Nowadays, this kind of thing is produced using a screen printing process. Back in the sixties, something like this was made simpler. The cord technique creates such an effect. There are two ways. Printing or spraying. Both require a lot of experience and you should go to a painter for this, or make enough attempts on other objects before you go to the billiards with it. I have photographed the two possibilities here, they are not perfect, but show how it works. A skilled painter masters this job.
